Welcome to Quotidien! A site for simple folk living in a "white t-shirt" state of mind -- namely, an APC white t-shirt if we're getting down to the details. Consider this your destination for executing basic notions to the highest degree. Quotidien is guide to transforming daily motions or what many see as the life’s daily banalities into life’s approachable luxuries. It chronicles experiences that are neither momentous nor extravagant; however, nonetheless notable and hopefully inspiring. Quotidien is the best of everydayness.
THE EATS
For those who appreciate uncomplicated and straight forward cooking. Eating well doesn’t have to be exhausting or indulgent in a monetary or caloric way. Moreover, cooking need not be a daunting art. While I’m not vegan and no longer vegetarian, I embrace and believe both these diet styles can be easily incorporated into an overall approach to good eating. With a focus on natural cooking, the food and recipes featured don’t singularly offer a means to eating healthy, but rather a means to eating well. I don’t believe in diets the restrictions that inevitably follow as eating well isn’t about what you don’t eat, it’s about what you do eat. Simple, unrefined, and quality ingredients combined a creative and hungry imagination can render any meal of the day spectacular. And good for you.
THE DRESS
For the fashion conscious who don’t want to overdo it. Quotidien dressing is that which is effortless done, versatile and totally centric around achieving a perfect balance of high and low. While high fashion is fantastic, for those of us living on planet earth it simply isn’t always realistic. However, inspiration when paired with improvisation makes magic. Budget and circumstance should never stand in the way of dressing well.
THE PLAY
For those who are constantly looking to try or learn something new. People, places and sounds you should get to know, visit and listen to – maybe even all at the same time. Essentially, this is where the two aforementioned omnipresent facets of daily life overlap through people, venues, sights and sounds. These are effortlessly cool personalities and places that are committed to creativity within both areas. Call, them tastemakers, but they’ll probably modestly brush you off and turn a shade of red not unlike the heirloom tomato bought at the farmers market earlier that morning.
